the forefront of the country.
In addition to expected programs in areas of study such as information technology, health care, industrial technology, and personal service, Ogeechee Technical
College has many unique programs such as a funeral service education program, a fantastic culinary arts program, and a turf management program which works
cooperatively with Georgia Southern University’s golf program.

Cultural Arts
Cultural arts can be found on every corner in the 'Boro. The Averitt Center for the Arts and the Emma Kelly Theater provide courses in social dance, painting, drawing and much more! The theater playbill has included such performances as Broadway musicals, modern musicians and several local groups. The GSU Performing Arts Center also claims fame to hosting groups such as Nickel Creek, Kathy Mattea, CATS!, RENT, Dr. Seuss, Oklahoma and much more!
Weather
Statesboro and Bulloch County enjoy a temperate climate, comfortably warm most months of the year. Even in January, average low temperature is nearly 40 degrees Farenheit, while in June, July and August, high temperatures hover in the low 90 degrees. Average rainfall ranges from 2.35 inches in November to 5.57 inches in August. Snowfall is rare and is thoroughly enjoyed when it does happen. Statesboro enjoys about 212 sunny days per year.
